New Outlook

Usually I am not one to talk about my w-e-i-g-h-t. I don't like to talk about it, and I don't like to think about it. It has been the focus of how I view myself for so long. Well I decided that I am done with that.

I have decided that I am no longer on a mission to "lose weight". Yes, I still have weight I would love to lose, but that is not my goal. My goal is to be healthy. For the first time in my life, I am happy with me. I look in the mirror and I see me. I don't see a chubby girl anymore. I see a beautiful person. I see a good wife and a good mom. I try everyday to be the best person I can be, and that has nothing to do with what I look like.

My goal is to eat healthy and start exercising. I hope to start walking and possible joining ZUMBA. I am really excited about that, but I can't start for 3 more weeks because the boys have swimming lessons on the same night. I want to be a good example to my daughter. I want her to see me as someone who loves them self enough to take care of their body, without obsessing over what the number on the scale says. Who cares what that number is? I have a Wonderful God and a wonderful husband who loves me for who I am, and well that is good enough for me. :)

2 weeks worth

I spend too much money at the store. I know this, and am ready to change it. It isn't like I go and buy a bunch of junk or anything, I think it is just that 1) I don't make a proper list, leading to an extra trip to pick up something I forgot, and 2) multiple extra trips usually means multiple extra items that I probably could live without.

So in effort to cut back on the grocery budget, I have decided to try shopping for 2 weeks at a time instead of weekly. With this I will plan all meals including side items that I never plan for, and actually sit down and made a list with everything on it. That will take more time, but will save time in the long run because I won't be making extra trips, plus it will save gas money going every two weeks.

My other goal is to only get non-grocery items once a month! This will require a lot of paying attention to all the soaps, toothpastes, toilet paper, etc. I think this will be more difficult than the two week shopping!

I printed off a calender that I will put meals on. Then I will make a rough draft list of every ingredient of every meal on it. Then I will go back and make another list taking off items I already have or items that can be combined (instead of having hamburger written down twice I will just put 2lbs or whatever). Then off I will go. This will be interesting, but I think it will be worth it in the long run. Wish me luck.

Guess I should blog

I haven't blogged in over a month. I've been a bit busy! :)

~ School starts tomorrow for Trent. I can't believe I have a 3rd grader! He says he doesn't want to start school, but I really think he does. I think he thinks it's dorky to like school for some reason, so he doesn't want to admit that he likes it. Silly boy! I made the mistake of waiting until the day before to finish his school shopping. That was really stupid of me. They were out of pretty much everything. Luckily my parents were in the city today and were able to find the stuff I couldn't and was nice enough to bring it over to me. :)

~ Tommy starts preschool in a couple weeks. I'm not sure how that will go. He is really excited about it, but I don't think he realizes that I won't be there. Since his new sister came along, he has been really clingy. He was a bit anyway, but it has been so much more since she got here. I know once we get past the first few days he will do just fine.

~ I am pretty sure Emilee has colic. I told Hubby when I was pregnant that she probably would because I had it way to easy with both of the boys. They were both really easy babies. The dr thinks she has acid reflux, which Tommy had really bad. So she has that and then colic on top of it. It makes the evening hours a bit rough. She SCREAMS and I hate it. It breaks my heart that there really isn't much I can do for her. It is so hard watching her act like she is in pain. I just hold her and hug on her. It usually doesn't last too long, but I hope she gets over it quickly.

~ Last week I made my first trip to Walmart with 3 kids, by myself. It actually went pretty OK. I really was worried about that, but was pleasantly surprised.

Need your imput please

This is Peanut's crib set. Daddy picked it out. My requirement was pink and butterflies and that is what he chose. I think he did a good job! :)

I have been looking for fabric that goes with it. I wanted baby green with pink butterflies, but I have pretty much given up on that. I have found a few that seem to go with the set tho... What do you think???

I took out 1 & 2 cause I like 3 &4 the best.

Number 4

I apologize for all the links, but there it is. I'm tired and I don't feel like uploading pics and such....

Keep in mind the room is PINK!

So blessed

I had my 3rd baby shower today. Yes, my 3rd. Honestly, this being my third baby, I was not expecting one at all, but my wonderful friends all insisted. My first shower was given by my neighbor. I told her that one was already planned at church, but she insisted, so we made that my family shower. Almost everyone who was invited came. I even had a friend from St. Louis come, and family from Joplin and the Springfield MO area come for nothing more, but to come to my shower. That really made my day. She planned that shower for 3 months!, and it showed. She had special cookies made and lots of food and desserts. I could also tell she loved buying for a girl!

My second shower was given by my Sista-from-anotha-motha, Sarah. She had to work on the Saturday of my family shower, so her, her mom and sister-in-law and all of our hubbies got together for dinner, cake and gifts.

Today was my church shower. It was really nice. I LOVED the cake, and hated to see it cut up. I wanted to somehow preserve it and hang it on the wall or something. Shannon did an awesome job with the cake and the decorations. She made flower pot decorations with little clips and headbands. So so cute.

I feel so blessed by not only the many gifts we have received, but by the out pouring of love and excitement. I know many are just about as excited about this little girl as we are.

I can't wait to meet you little girl! You are already so much loved (and spoiled!).
