where's the cat??

Our kitty is mostly an indoor cat. He does sometimes go outside to chase grasshoppers, and butterflies, and to roll around in the dirt. Usually he is there waiting at the door the next time someone goes in or out, or atleast he comes in for dinner time. He didn't come in last night. I called for him, but he didn't come. So I figured he would for sure be at the door this morning. Nope, no Cookie. I went out and called for him and still no kitty. A while later the neighbor's cat was at our door meowing all over the place. Jason opened the door, and she came in the house still meowing, kind of like she was trying to tell us something. Jason took her back outside.

A bit later, Jason went out back to dump some weeds, and he heard the kitty. Apparently, Jason was in the shed yesterday, and locked the kitty in there on accident. He was ok, just really mad, thirsty and hungry. He has been sleeping on the couch most of the day.

first day of school

I forgot to post Trent's first day of school pics. :) He is really liking school so far. This week they are testing for reading levels. Last year he ended in level O or P. They were expected to be in C by the end of Kindergarten, so I'd say he is doing well in reading. I can't wait to see what he does this year.

Not a whole lot going on here. Karate is on a break for a few weeks. We start up again in September. I think Trent is looking forward to that. He is proud of his new yellow belt.

I've been making lots of salsa. I am pretty tired of looking at the stuff right now. Every time I make a batch, I get 8-10 jars of it. Yeah we have some salsa. :) The stuff is really good. I bought out the freezable jars at walmart today again for the 3rd time. I sure hope no one else wanted any of those.

I have spent my day moving furniture around in my living room. You would NOT believe all the stuff I found under the couch. Seriously. WOW. After that I made use of our over abundance of tomatoes and made spaghetti sauce. It smells yummy!! Tonight my dear hubby is going to be "doing the mud run" at the WYCO fair. Oh the joys of being redneck. LOL Hopefully it doesn't run too late so we actually get to see him. One year it ran until like 3 in the morning. I don't think I will be staying up quite that late cause I have to be at church EARLY tomorrow. My parents, his dad and possibly brother are all coming to watch him too. Fun stuff.
