My first flat tire

Yesterday I was in KC MO, taking Trent to his uncle. I ran over something on the road. I could hear that it was in my tire when I was driving, but when I got out to look, I didn't see anything. After I got Trent dropped off, I was going down 35 highway to Liberty and all of a sudden I felt something, and heard that dreaded sound of driving on the rims. So I quickly pulled over. Note, it was rush hour traffic. I was a bit scared. I got out and went around to the other side to call someone, and talk to Tommy cause he was scared. Just as I was about to panic and really nice man in a MO DOT truck pulled up behind me. He changed my tire for me and sent me on my way. I was really relieved he came. I know how to change a tire, but I just kind of panicked. Had I been by myself, I would have just done it, but I really felt the need to stay with Tommy. I kept worrying that someone would hit our car. But all is well now. We needed new tires on the front anyway. :)

And now, deep thoughts....by Jack Handy or Jenny Haggerty, whichever works

I really try to live my life with no regrets, but I have been thinking of one lately. When I was in high school, I worked really hard in Health Occ class to get my CNA. Well I got it and was really excited about it. Then, after Trent was born, I got a job at a hospital as a CNA. I loved the idea of working three 12 hour days, and I loved that I was going to be helping people. Well, my first day, I was really loving it. I felt really good, like I was doing something special for these people. Then it happened. One of the patients died. For some reason, my boss thought I needed to be the one to go in and clean the body. Ummm I told her that I didn't feel comfortable doing that, since this was my first day on the job and I have no idea what I am doing. Well, she told me that I would have to do it eventually anyway, so I should just get it over with. So, I did it. It was awful. I had never seen a dead person before, and I was crying. I finished my shift and went home and cried and cried, all night long. I was completely freaked out, and decided not to go back. My boss called me the next day begging me to come back, telling me she was sorry, and that she wouldn't make me do that again. I just couldn't do it. Now, I really regret it. Had I have kept with it, I would have been a nurse by now, which is something I would really like. I just have a hard time handeling death. So, now I am wondering if I should go back to school and start over. So then, by the time Tommy is in school, I would be ready to go back to work. I just don't know.
